Prof. Burak Ertaş, MD
Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery
I was born in Istanbul in 1978. I completed my medical education at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine as the top-ranking student. I then completed my residency training in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at the same institution.
Throughout my career, I have worked in leading medical institutions in Turkey. After my experience at Istanbul University and Haseki Training and Research Hospital, I spent many years at Acıbadem Maslak Hospital, where I further developed my surgical expertise and gained extensive clinical experience. I became an Associate Professor in 2019 and a Professor in 2025.
My main areas of focus are rhinology (nasal and sinus diseases), head and neck surgery, pediatric ENT diseases, sleep apnea, and ear diseases. I also have experience in thyroid and parathyroid surgery. To further enhance my expertise, I had the opportunity to observe advanced practices at Harvard University.
I have published scientific articles in national and international journals and contributed to academic books. However, my priority is always to reflect this knowledge in the best possible way for my patients.
I evaluate each patient individually and create personalized treatment plans. My goal is not only to treat the disease, but also to improve my patients’ quality of life.
For me, being a physician is not just a profession, but a responsibility I have carried with passion for many years.
I am married and a father of a daughter. I am also actively interested in sports and a congress member of Beşiktaş Gymnastics Club.
I currently see patients at my private practice in Istanbul.
